Our Projects
SAFE HAVEN
First and foremost, we are a safe point of contact for the youth welfare office in Uganda. If a child is in need of help and support, we are there and offer a place to sleep, psychological care and warmt. The first step is accommodation in our shelter with emphatic social workers and caretakers to ensure safety, security and basic needs.
EMPOWER FAMILIES
Empowering families is a core mission of Endasi. Many families we work with face challenges such as lack of education, food supplies, or stable income. To address this, Endasi offers services that help parents develop sustainable businesses, ensuring a steady income so their children can access education. Alongside economic support, our social workers provide family planning and counseling to guide families toward creating a stable and nurturing environment for their children. We also work proactively with at-risk families to prevent child abuse or neglect, ensuring that children can grow up in safe and supportive homes.
REINTIGRATION
Reintegration in our temporary children's homes involves a collaborative effort between social workers and probation officers to carefully reunite children with their families. This process begins with identifying potential family members through thorough assessments and interviews, ensuring that the child's best interests are at the forefront. Reintegration is a gradual, step-by-step approach, tailored to each child's unique situation. In some cases, children may be placed in foster care or return to our homes if circumstances change, ensuring their safety and well-being are always prioritized.
ENDASI TRAINING INSTITUTE
We achieve our aims in offering education by providing comprehensive training in our ENDASI Training Institute, with a focus on agriculture, forestry, early years education and micro- and macro business development. Our commitment extends beyond skill-building; we offer a holistic education approach, including coaching and psychological support to ensure each individual's personal growth.
But we also focus on areas such as swimming lessons to reduce the excessively high number of drownings.
