Resettlement of Sula, Fahad and Yassin

Our three oldest boys Sula, Fahad and Yassin were successfully resettled back into their families and communities last week. Becky, as our social worker, has been working on this step for some time now to make sure everybody is well prepared for this big movement. It is a policy by the government of Uganda that once a child turns 18, they should be resettled back into their communities and families. The families could be biological parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles etc. as long as it is established that the child will be safe and out of danger while living there. Endasi will continue to give them support while they live with their families. We will continue to pay their school fees, give scholastic materials, offer counselling and follow up support both at school and at home. We are excited for them and will miss having them here with us all the time. Our social worker has been in touch with them and they are transitioning well. They are currently in boarding school in one of the best schools not so far away from their community and they are happy. We believe that they will thrive in their families. While saying goodbye is never easy, we are filled with pride and joy knowing that they are ready to take on new opportunities.Their time here at Endasi has been marked by growth, friendship, and resilience. We have watched them overcome challenges, support each other, and grow into remarkable young men. Their presence has brought light and laughter to our home, and their spirits have touched the hearts of everyone here. Sula, Fahad and Yassin are always welcome to visit Endasi!
